Bridget is a fiery Irish woman who moved to London alone at sixteen, fell in love with an Egyptian pianist and created community in a house full of culture, vibrancy and (most importantly) kindness. Oh, and Bridget is Nicole’s grandmother!Bridget is more than our name, she’s our inspiration.
Whilst being a live-in carer for both her grandparents, Nicole was also carving out a career in the demanding world of production. Her experience made one thing clear, there’s an opportunity to create a better industry that really utilises diverse creative talent.
That’s why Nicole founded Bridget, to disrupt the industry with kindness, to build a genuinely inclusive space and prove that brilliant work does not have to come at the cost of wellbeing.
And so Bridget is a positive disruptor. Bridget is a trailblazer. Bridget is the change we want to see.
Why Bridget?
Experience
We have 25 years of collective experience in a variety of content, broadcast television – consumer, documentary, entertainment, reality, panel shows, scripted, commercials, corporate and branded content and quickfire social content.
Inclusivity
We believe that our workplace should reflect the world we want to live in which is why we ensure our sets are inclusive, diverse, and rooted in kindness.
We are proud to be the first UK production company to guarantee a minimum 50/50 gender split on every job, creating a more equal playing field for those that have been excluded for so long.
Flexible, Fair, Human
We always offer flexibility and fair working hours whenever we can. Our founder, Nicole, is a carer for her Grandma Bridget (yep, that’s who we’re named after), so she knows first-hand how vital flexibility is to those with other responsibilities, especially in a demanding industry like ours.
Creating Access
Getting a foot in the door to our industry has always been notoriously difficult, we experienced a lot of obstacles ourselves when starting out. We want to remove the obstacles so that young people can use their energy building their skills to become top tier filmmakers and crew. This is why we bring a paid trainee onto every set and run a dedicated trainee scheme to support new talent from underrepresented backgrounds.
Giving Back
We reinvest a portion of our profits to support female- and non-binary-led narrative film- because we know stories shape culture, and who gets to tell them matters.
We’re building a better kind of production company- one where values drive the work, and the work speaks for itself.
Bridget Productions is run by our founder Nicole Rixon (right) and our Head of Production, Charlotte Wolff (left). Collectively they have 25 years experience in the industry.
In search of a creative company that represented an inclusive, transparent and womxn-strong working environment, Nicole founded Bridget Productions after a decade of producing. Before Bridget, Nicole produced creative work for leading agencies and production companies. She also spent a large portion of her career building and growing in-house video teams - most notably at Bain & Co and Stylist Magazine (where she met Charlotte). Since launching, Bridget has become a well respected industry leader, turning over half a million in revenue and regularly working with global brands.
